Episode 3: Ditch the timeline with Amanda Shuchat

This episode Amanda Shuchat, joins the Day 1 podcast, to share her three year fertility journey to her baby boy, Oliver. This is a special episode because it captures an authentic conversation between two best friends, who have been by each others side through years of fertility treatment. Together, we have cried over disappointments, celebrated IVF milestones and have spent hours talking through different outcomes or options each step of the way.

In this episode Amanda shares her journey to motherhood and how she juggled launching her own business simultaneously. She shares tips on what to wear when visiting the clinic (exceptionally valuable points), how she has grown from this experience, what daily rituals have helped her get through each day and speaks to how she had to wrap her head around unexpected decisions. 

Amanda lives in Toronto and is the Managing Director of one of Canada's top PR agencies, The Colony Project. She has a beautiful son Oliver, who is a year and a half, and happily expecting a baby girl in October 2021.
